CARING FOR THE HILLS is a non-profit 501(c3) organization that is totally volunteer, operated and funded by donations. Since 1997, Caring for the Hills has reached out to individuals who are in need. Needs include personal hygiene items, paper goods, food and household items. In addition, we are also in need of store gift cards, fast food gift cards, and movie gift cards for our teens at Christmas. Caring For The Hills weekly basic needs are: deserts - peanut butter - jelly - cereals of all kinds - snack type stuff for kids - popcorn - beans - rice - cans of fruit - koolaid - juices - cans of meat products. All donations can be dropped off at 15554 Cecelia St, Chino Hills CA 91709. All donations are appreciated. Thank you for your interest in Caring for the Hills. Food on an emergency basis to feed individuals or families for a few days until they can obtain permanent or long-term help. In 2012, Caring for the Hills provided 145 boxes of food to individuals and families. Holiday Food Boxes were provided to 150 individuals and families for Thanksgiving in 2012. At Christmas we provided 150 food boxes complete with all the holiday trimmings. Christmas gifts were provided to 300 children in Chino Hills in 2012. These children have been qualified by their schools, social services, or our staff. Our children range from 0-18 years. Backpacks & Supplies: We provide up to l00 backpacks filled with school supplies each year to children in need in Chino Hills, Thanks to our many volunteers. In May of 2008 we were blessed with a daily food pick up from TRADER JOE'S. We receive meat, fruit, veggies, breads and pastries. In January of 2009, we were blessed with Fresh & Easy. We pick up many of the same items. Von's also donates several days a week to us. In 2012, we were able to feed over 35,000 family members with all the food we pick up and buy with donations.
